Irene began her work as an eating disorder therapist by being a patient in treatment first. With the help of many excellent therapists along the way, she overcame her own eating/body image disorder. She received her B.A. at UCLA and her M.A. in clinical psychology at Pepperdine University. She is certified to use hypnosis in her practice and has been licensed and treating people with eating disorders for over twenty years. In addition to her private practice, she is on staff at UCLA’s Risk Factor Obesity clinic and is an active member of CAMFT and the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA). Irene is also a writer.  In addition to her book, Foodaholic, she also writes for The Huffington Post©, Strive Magazine, Intent.com and Westside Today.  As a much sought after expert guest Irene has appeared on NBC, UPN, KTLA news and Penn and Teller's Showtime original series.  She is also the resident eating disorder expert for Dr. David Kipper’s KABC radio show. © Irene Rubaum-Keller 2010 - 2011 “I knew my life wasn’t satisfying but didn’t know why until I got into therapy and began to figure it out.
